Department of Social Services Leadership Academy

DSS Leadership Academy graduates have completed a 6-month long program designed to shape and strengthen the DSS method to a leadership mindset. The DSS Leadership Academy provides skill-building opportunities, helps to create a shared identity across DSS, and equips our emerging leaders to build world class teams and serve citizens with excellence. Graduates have focused on their own leadership skills, learned more about psychological aspects of their thinking and how to re-direct mindsets and thinking patterns to improve and promote growth, and they understand the depth and complexity that goes into leading. Additionally, graduates have not only learned the fundamentals of continuous improvement and problem solving skills, but have had the chance to apply those skills to areas of improvement relevant in our Department.
